Sanya developed a passion for horses at the age of six, when she was barely tall enough to reach the stirrups with assistance. What began as casual weekend lessons soon evolved into a lifelong calling that has profoundly shaped her character, perspective, and understanding of herself and the world around her.

At eleven, Sanya embarked on her journey into competitive equestrian sport. Since then, she has remained committed to refining her skills through rigorous training and consistent competition. Over the years, she has trained extensively in both dressage and show jumping, proudly representing India at national and international competitions sanctioned by the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) and the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).
For Sanya, riding is far more than a sport; it is a window into the quieter, often unexplored corners of her mind. Each ride simultaneously exhilarates and grounds her, offering a rare sense of clarity while encouraging deeper reflection. In the saddle, she finds the space to confront her fears, untangle her thoughts, and see the world from a broader perspective. Equestrianism has become her own form of poetry in motion: an expression of her values, convictions, and approach to life. Every ride is an inward journey as much as an outward one, teaching her patience, courage, trust, and the profound value of unconditional companionship.
Her dedication to the sport extends beyond the moments spent in competition. Each morning begins with a genuine sense of anticipation. Waking reluctantly to face the day feels foreign to her; instead, the prospect of seeing her horses, pursuing her goals, and continuing to improve gives her a sense of purpose. Her passion is sustained not simply by ambition but also by the discipline to show up consistently, embrace challenges, and find meaning in the process of becoming better.
Equestrian sports demand a unique combination of physical skill, mental acuity, and a deep emotional connection with one's equine partner. The sport transcends age, gender, and socioeconomic boundaries, welcoming all who share a love for it. Beyond technical proficiency, equestrianism fosters self-confidence, builds camaraderie, and develops leadership abilities. It also serves as a powerful means of maintaining physical fitness and promoting mental well-being.
